Amitabh Bachchan shares a humorous marriage lesson on KBC Season 18
The actor tells contestant Anuj Bhatnakar why arguing with your wife is a losing game
MUMBAI: Amitabh Bachchan turned relationship counsellor for a few minutes on the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 18, offering contestant Anuj Bhatnakar a light-hearted lesson on the art of keeping the peace at home.
While chatting with Bhatnakar about his relationship with his wife, Bachchan jokingly offered some advice that he said he had shared repeatedly on the quiz show.
“Patni ji ke saath kabhi jhagda mat kijiye ga, aise hi bata rahe hain aapko,” Bachchan told the contestant, prompting laughter from the audience.
The veteran actor then expanded on his rather firm position against marital arguments, saying that it did not matter what the disagreement was about, whether food, drink or anything else.
“Koi bhi mamla ho, khane-peene ka ho, kuch bhi ho. Aur hum ek crore baar isi manch par bol chuke hain, patni ji ke saath aap kabhi jhagda mat kijiye, na hi koi behas kijiye, kyunki manyavar, behas aap jeetne wale nahi hain,” he said.
The punchline was clear: when it comes to arguments with one’s spouse, winning may not be on the cards.
Bachchan followed it up with an even simpler strategy for Bhatnakar. Rather than trying to prove a point, he suggested apologising and getting on with the day.
“Aap kuch bhi bolte rahiyega, aap nahi jeetenge. Haath jod karke maafi maang lena chahiye aur apne kaam pe chale jana chahiye,” he said.
The exchange quickly became one of the episode’s lighter moments, with Bhatnakar and the studio audience responding with laughter, applause and cheers. Bachchan’s familiar mix of humour and warmth turned an everyday relationship dilemma into an entertaining KBC moment.
