Nykaa names Ankit Jain to lead quick commerce business Nykaa Now
Beauty retailer eyes nationwide rapid delivery with AI-powered fulfilment strategy by FY30
Mumbai: Nykaa is putting beauty on the fast track. The beauty and fashion retailer has appointed supply chain veteran Ankit Jain to head NYKAA NOW, its quick commerce business, as it accelerates plans to expand rapid beauty deliveries across India.
Nykaa said Jain will lead NYKAA NOW, the company’s quick commerce platform that promises delivery within 30 to 60 minutes across major cities. The appointment forms part of Nykaa’s broader strategy to strengthen its fulfilment capabilities, supply chain infrastructure and technology-led logistics network.
Jain brings more than 20 years of experience in supply chain management, having held senior leadership positions at Unilever, Flipkart and Instamart, the quick commerce arm of Swiggy. A President’s Gold Medalist and chemical engineering graduate from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, he has worked across factory operations, logistics, warehousing, innovation, technology and end-to-end supply chain planning.
In his new role, Jain will oversee the expansion of NYKAA NOW across key markets while using artificial intelligence-driven demand forecasting and logistics innovation to build a more resilient and technology-enabled fulfilment network.
NYKAA NOW currently offers more than 1,000 beauty and personal care brands, spanning luxury, FMCG and direct-to-consumer labels. Since its launch, the service has expanded to 13 cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata, offering deliveries within 30 to 60 minutes through an integrated technology and fulfilment network.
Looking ahead, Nykaa has outlined an ambitious roadmap for its delivery ecosystem. By FY30, the company aims to expand NYKAA NOW to high-demand locations across the country, making 30-minute beauty deliveries available to a much wider customer base.
The retailer also plans to strengthen Nykaa Next Day, with the goal of delivering 90 per cent of all orders across India on the same day or the next day. Alongside this, Nykaa Express will leverage the company’s network of more than 320 retail stores to provide hyperlocal deliveries within two to three hours for customers living near its outlets.
Together, these services will form an integrated hub-and-spoke fulfilment model designed to improve delivery speed while maintaining product assortment across channels.
Commenting on the appointment, Nykaa Beauty, executive director and chief executive officer, Anchit Nayar, said, “As beauty commerce evolves, customers increasingly expect both speed and choice without compromise. At Nykaa, we are building a differentiated fulfilment ecosystem powered by technology, AI and deep execution excellence. Ankit’s experience in scaling complex supply chain and quick commerce operations makes him uniquely positioned to help us strengthen our network, accelerate NYKAA NOW, and deliver exceptional customer experiences at scale. As we look toward the next decade of growth, this investment in leadership capability will be a key enabler of our long-term vision for beauty commerce in India.”
Speaking on his appointment, Ankit Jain said, “Nykaa has built an incredibly strong foundation by combining consumer trust with innovation and technology. I am excited to join the company at a pivotal stage of its growth journey and look forward to building resilient, data-driven operations that enable greater speed, reliability and efficiency across the fulfilment network. Together, we have an opportunity to redefine beauty commerce by making the best beauty brands more accessible to customers across the country.”
With competition in India’s quick commerce market intensifying, Nykaa is betting that faster deliveries, AI-driven logistics and an expanding fulfilment network will help it strengthen its leadership in online beauty retail while bringing premium products closer to consumers nationwide.
