MUMBAI: Kshitija Chavan has swapped Madison World for Omnicom Media, taking up the post of digital planning manager after a year and eight months building full-funnel strategies for Godrej Locks & Security Solutions and Zouk. The move, confirmed this week, marks another step up for a marketer whose CV reads less like a straight line and more like a well-optimised campaign funnel: tested, tweaked and steadily improved.

Chavan’s journey began, oddly enough, in a chemistry lab. She pivoted into digital marketing via a short stint as search engine optimisation specialist at Albatross Media in 2022, before landing at Media.net as associate, digital marketing. From there it was onwards and upwards: senior performance marketing executive at Purple Seed Creative Solutions, then planning manager at Madison World, where she cut her teeth on Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn and third party publisher platforms.

The numbers tell their own story. At Madison World, Chavan managed campaigns against hard metrics: CPL, CTR and ROAS among them, delivering reports that internal stakeholders could actually act on. Her DV360 work on the Zouk account, focused on audience insights, viewability and programmatic efficiency, is precisely the sort of granular, data first thinking that agencies are crying out for as clients grow warier of vanity metrics.

At Omnicom Media, expect more of the same, only bigger. The brief will likely span cross channel campaign management, from Meta reach and frequency plays to YouTube CTV and LinkedIn’s increasingly muscular B2B targeting suite. Chavan has been candid about her approach to client servicing too: honest reporting, clear communication, and a refusal to dress up tough numbers as good news. In an industry not always known for straight talking, that counts for something.

Programmatic analytics, branded content blending B2B and B2C storytelling, and media plans built to be both strategic and practical: these are the themes Chavan says she is currently chasing. With Omnicom Media’s global scale behind her, she now has a rather larger canvas to chase them on.
