Instamart brings Dagdusheth and Siddhivinayak prasad to quick commerce

MUMBAI: Bappa is going online, and this time the prasad is only a few taps away.

Instamart has brought prasad from two of India’s best-known Ganesh temples to its quick-commerce platform for Ganesh Chaturthi, giving devotees the option to order offerings from the Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple in Pune and Shri Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai.

The Dagdusheth offering comes in a box containing one modak, priced at Rs 50. To spread the prasad a little further, customers can order only one box per order. The Siddhivinayak offering contains six besan ladoos and is priced at Rs 170.

Both temple prasad offerings will be available on Instamart until September 18, 2026, subject to availability. The move allows devotees who cannot make the trip to the temples to access the offerings through the platform.

The additions sit alongside Instamart’s wider Ganesh Chaturthi assortment, which includes DIY Ganpati kits and 24 varieties of modaks, ranging from Kesar and Kaju to Mava and Malai.

Gautam Swaroop, Chief Business Officer, Instamart, said the festive assortment is intended to cover everything from sweets and festive treats to puja essentials and decorations. He said bringing prasad from Dagdusheth and Siddhivinayak was aimed at making the celebrations more accessible to devotees.

The move also shows how quick commerce is stretching beyond its traditional territory of groceries and everyday essentials. Festive demand is increasingly giving platforms an opportunity to stock products that are more occasion-led, culturally specific and harder to associate with a 10-minute delivery model.

Instamart’s ‘Switch’ proposition is part of that push, with the platform looking to bring differentiated products to customers and broaden what they expect to find on a quick-commerce app. This Ganesh Chaturthi, that means the usual race for essentials has acquired a distinctly divine delivery.
