MUMBAI – In a world where entertainment often feels more like admin than amusement, Dish TV India Ltd. is betting that less clicking means more watching. The company has launched VZY, a new connected entertainment ecosystem designed to simplify how Indian consumers access live television, streaming platforms and premium content across devices.

The move comes as Indian viewers increasingly juggle multiple apps, subscriptions and screens, from smart TVs and DTH services to streaming devices and mobile platforms. The result has been growing “search fatigue”, with users spending more time hunting for content than actually watching it.

Dish TV’s answer is VZY, which aims to bring everything into one place through a unified sign-in, a single billing system and a simplified viewing experience across mobile devices and smart TVs.

At the heart of the offering is the VZY Streaming Platform, which combines more than 29 streaming apps, live TV channels, creator-led content and ad-supported video under one roof. The platform focuses heavily on smarter content discovery, helping users find trending and relevant programming faster without constantly switching between apps.

Alongside that sits the VZY Smart TV Ecosystem, a premium QLED 4K smart TV experience powered by Google TV. The televisions come bundled with live channels and access to streaming apps, while also featuring Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for what the company describes as a cinema-style viewing experience at home.

Speaking about the launch, Dish TV India Ltd. chief executive officer and executive director Manoj Dobhal said the platform was designed around a simple consumer insight. “India’s entertainment consumer doesn’t want another app, they want an experience that just works. With VZY, we have combined the power of a smart streaming platform with a premium Smart TV ecosystem to deliver a connected entertainment experience that moves seamlessly from your phone to your living room,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dish TV India Ltd. chief revenue officer Sukhpreet Singh said the company was focusing on convenience as much as content. “Entertainment consumption today demands experiences that are seamless, flexible and accessible across devices. VZY is designed to help consumers spend less time searching and more time watching,” he said.

To support the rollout, Dish TV has launched a marketing campaign during the ongoing Indian Premier League season, tapping into one of India’s biggest television events to highlight VZY’s promise of ending app-switching frustration.

For Dish TV, which has spent more than two decades building its presence in India’s direct-to-home television market, the launch signals a broader ambition. As entertainment habits continue to shift, VZY is less about adding another screen and more about making all screens finally work together.
