JioStar promotes Mohit Rajora to associate director
The digital media sales veteran steps up after two years as agency sales manager at Disney+ Hotstar and JioHotstar, bringing over a decade of programmatic and cross-platform advertising experience
MUMBAI: JioStar has promoted Mohit Rajora to associate director, effective June 2026. The elevation comes after two years as agency sales manager at Disney+ Hotstar and JioHotstar North, where Rajora managed strategic partnerships with some of the world’s largest agency holding groups, including WPP/GroupM, Omnicom Media Group, IPG and Dentsu, driving revenue across entertainment and sports verticals.
Rajora’s expertise sits squarely at the intersection of programmatic advertising and agency relationship management. At JioHotstar, he built revenue streams across programmatic guaranteed deals, private marketplace deals and open auction, alongside direct deals, branded content and high-impact sponsorships. He also led first-party data activation and ad-tech innovation including ADID passback models to sharpen campaign performance.
His career in digital media spans over a decade. Before JioHotstar, he spent nine months as regional lead for North India at ShareChat, followed by nearly three years in brand solutions at JioSaavn. Earlier stints include eleven months at ByteDance in global business solutions and revenue partnerships, a year and a half as senior manager of digital solutions at CyberMedia, and over six years at HT Media as relationship manager handling digital ad sales across Delhi-NCR and Haryana. He began his career with a management trainee internship at Dentsu Aegis Network in 2011.
For JioStar, which is aggressively scaling its advertising business across video, audio and connected television, having battle-tested agency relationship managers at senior levels is critical. Rajora has spent more than a decade learning every corner of India’s digital advertising stack. As an associate director, he now gets to put all of it to work.
