UTV dishes out ‘Roshni’ for DD

MUMBAI: Looks like its spring time at the pubcaster. Doordarshan is sprucing up its content, and first step is to get in new shows. So joining the list for the new shows is UTV’s Roshni.
Bolstering the weekend fare at DD 1, Roshni will air every Sunday- Saturday at 8:30 pm.

Tale of two sisters, Roshni revolves around Roshni and Mahek orphans left at footstep of temples. Raised by a poor woman Janaki, the two sisters grow up with a strong sibling bond unaware of the dark history associated with their parents.
The star cast of the show includes Garima Kapoor, Samar Jaisingh, Pavan Pandey. A supernatural thriller has the protagonist Roshni attempting to unravel the mystery of their dark past, the identity of their detractors responsible for the disappearance of her parents. Besides the thriller element, the supernatural is also about these two sisters ‘blessed’ by Mata despite the huge turmoil in their lives.
