SAB TV to air hour long news and election analysis
MUMBAI: With the Sri Adhikari Brothers’ 24 hour news and current affairs channel still awaiting launch, SAB TV is introducing a daily one hour band of in depth news and election analysis on SAB TV starting 29 March 2004.
The one hour band will be telecast every night from 10:30 pm to 11:30 pm and every morning from 8 am to 9 am. The channel is seeking a wide audience base with three days of analysis in English and four days in Hindi.
A new set design has been made by art director Nitin Desai for this particular band. The channel has roped in media personalities like Vir Sanghvi, Mrunal Pandey, Swapan Das Gupta, Siddharth Vardarajan, Jyoti Malhotra, and Umesh Upadhyay to do these in depth analysis. Regular SAB TV anchors like Swati Chaturvedi, Harish Gupta and Manoj Raghuvanshi will also be seen on the news and election programmes.
The one hour special analysis band will continue on SAB TV till the launch of the group’s 24 hour current affairs and news channel.
According to a SAB TV statement, Harish Gupta, the erstwhile chief editor of Dainik Bhaskar’s Delhi edition, has been appointed as director – news and current affairs.
