Jeff Corwin goes on a quest on Animal Planet
MUMBAI: One of Animal Planet’s most popular host’s Jeff Corwin is back.
The globe trotting naturalist and wildlife expert who became famous for his show The Jeff Corwin Experience will host a new show Corwin’s Quest next month every Tuesday at 10 pm.
Each episode will explore a distintive aspect of animal behaviour including sound, smell, attack, defense and survival. He travels the world to find creatures who take this behaviour to extremes – whether it is an alligator in the Florida Everglades demonstrating his bone rattling mating bellow or the African pachyderms attending elephant college where they are trained to sniff out poachers.
As Jeff jets around the world he uses field craft to get closer to the animals and experience their wild lives while showing the ways these animals survive and thrive. The show combines Corwin’s fun and engaging on-screen personality with a cinematic style that reveals the biology and behaviour of different animals.
Corwin encounters the largest animal – the blue whale, the world’s longest snake which is the reticulated python as well as vervet monkeys which have their own language. He also checks out Mexican free tailed bats who use sound to see as well as the desert scorpion and a killer snail.
