BENGALURU: Some marketers learn the trade from a brief. Vipul Chaudhary learnt it from the copy desk up. After more than a decade writing Hindi ads, producing television promos and building a milkshake brand’s marketing engine, he has joined Happilo as marketing manager, leading brand and digital marketing. His base is Bangalore Urban, Karnataka.

“A new chapter begins,” he says in announcing the move. “I’m happy to share that I’ve joined Happilo. I’m looking forward to learning from the team, taking on new challenges, and contributing to the journey ahead.” He adds that he is grateful to everyone who has supported him along the way, and that he is excited for what comes next.

The appointment makes sense on paper. Chaudhary brings more than 12 years of experience across F&B and QSR, consumer brands, media and tech. He specialises in brand strategy, growth marketing, integrated ATL, BTL and digital campaigns, influencer and creator marketing, SEO and programmatic SEO, partnerships, content strategy and consumer engagement. His track record covers building content engines, scaling brand visibility, driving footfall, supporting franchise growth and delivering measurable business outcomes.

His remit at Happilo is wide. He is leading integrated marketing campaigns, brand strategy and communication, content strategy and social media, SEO and organic growth, e-commerce and website optimisation, product marketing and catalogue communication, performance marketing and lead generation, marketing analytics and growth planning, and influencer marketing.

Start with his most recent stint. From May 2022 to August 2026, a stretch of four years and four months, Chaudhary was marketing lead at Frozen Bottle in Bengaluru, leading brand and growth marketing across social, influencer, SEO, partnerships, video content and store activations. He built creator-led content systems to improve organic reach, engagement and brand visibility. He drove the Milkshake Carnival campaign, which contributed to more than 8 lakh product sales offline.

He also built co-marketing partnerships with brands including TrueNativ, Happilo, Yoga Bar and 4700BC. Happilo is therefore a familiar name: the two companies have already worked together. He created franchise marketing playbooks, local influencer briefs, campaign calendars and reporting dashboards.

Before that, from February 2021 to April 2022, he was content specialist at BigMuscles Nutrition in Delhi, a stint of one year and three months. His work there included brand athlete announcements featuring Tarun Gill, Pawan Gupta of the Indian Air Force and Dipak Nanda.

His content career runs deep. He was senior writer at YoVo App from 2020 to 2022, where he managed content creators and quality for India’s first interactive short-video app, shipping mobile-native narratives to boost watch-through and retention. He was also senior content manager at Totality Corp in Gurugram from October 2019 to August 2020, a stint of 11 months.

His broadcast grounding came at DishTV. From February 2018 to October 2019, a stretch of one year and nine months, he was senior Hindi copywriter in the Noida area, working on campaigns such as the DishTV online recharge film with Sara Khan and the DishTV Maha Upgrade Offer TVC. As senior producer at DishTV India from 2018 to 2019, he owned communication for the DTH home channel Buzz, producing TVCs, promos and on-air communication to drive tune-ins and package adoption.

Agency years came earlier. At Abstraction Advertising in Gurgaon, over three years and two months, he was Hindi copywriter from March 2015 to February 2018, and senior copywriter from 2015 to 2018. His work included the Dainik Bhaskar Punjab election campaign TVC. At Purple Focus Pvt Ltd in Gurgaon, from February 2011 to February 2015, a stint of four years and one month, he was Hindi copywriter on key accounts including Nokia, Eicher buses and trucks, Hathway and Bajaj three-wheelers, with work such as the Nokia Lumia 435 and Lumia 730 radio spots and the Bajaj RE product film.

His career began as copywriter at Vishaka Communications Pvt Ltd, from January 2010 to January 2011, working as a Hindi copywriter on Dainik Jagran.

The pattern is clear: a copywriter’s ear, a producer’s eye and a growth marketer’s spreadsheet. At Happilo, Chaudhary now gets to put all three to work on a brand he has already partnered with.
