Trump Media names Kevin McGurn interim CEO, replacing Devin Nunes

SARASOTA: Trump Media & Technology Group has appointed Kevin J. McGurn as its interim chief executive officer, effective immediately, marking a leadership shift at the parent company of Truth Social.

McGurn, who has been serving as an advisor to the company since December 2024, takes over from Devin Nunes, who led the business for the past four years. The transition comes as the company sharpens its focus on expanding across social media, streaming, and financial technology through its Truth-branded ecosystem.

A seasoned executive with over two decades of experience, McGurn has worked across digital media, telecom, streaming, and advertising technology. His mandate now includes steering strategic initiatives, overseeing mergers and acquisitions, and driving platform growth at a time when competition in the digital media space is intensifying.

Announcing the appointment, Trump Media & Technology Group board member (on behalf of the board) Donald Trump Jr. said, “Kevin brings deep experience across media, technology, and capital markets, as well as a strong understanding of Trump Media’s operations and strategic priorities.” He added that McGurn’s familiarity with the business positions him well to guide the company through its next phase.

The leadership change signals continuity rather than disruption, with an insider stepping in during a period of transition.
