Siddhant Mazumdar joins Omnicom Media India as chief content officer
Former Mediabrands Content Studio lead to steer content and creator strategy
MUMBAI: Siddhant Mazumdar has been appointed chief content officer at Omnicom Media India, marking a new chapter in a career that has moved fluidly across advertising, digital media, branded content and creator-led storytelling.
In his new role, Mazumdar will lead content, influencer and experiences as a unified vertical across the Omnicom Media India network. The move comes at a time when agencies are increasingly blending entertainment, creators and commerce into one seamless pitch for brands chasing audience attention across platforms.
Mazumdar joins the network after a five-year stint at Mediabrands Content Studio, where he served as head of Mediabrands Content Studio, India. During his tenure, he worked on building branded storytelling and content partnerships at a time when agencies were racing to become part studio, part strategy hub.
Before that, he was chief operating officer at WiseApe, formerly known as The Digital Street, where he focused on scaling digital-first creative and marketing solutions. His career also includes leadership roles at VICE Media, where he served as both head of sales and sales director during the company’s India expansion phase.
Mazumdar’s professional journey began on the creative side of advertising, with stints at agencies including Interactive Avenues, J. Walter Thompson Worldwide and Ogilvy. Over the years, he moved from copywriting and creative leadership into content strategy and business leadership, giving him a rare mix of editorial instinct and commercial understanding.
The appointment also reflects a wider shift underway in the media and advertising business, where content is no longer treated as a supporting act. From influencer collaborations to immersive brand experiences, agencies are increasingly expected to deliver culture-first ideas that travel beyond the traditional campaign cycle.
For Omnicom Media India, Mazumdar’s arrival signals a sharper push into that space, with storytelling, creators and experiences now firmly taking centre stage.
