Rupeezy appoints Amit Kushwaha as CMO
Former Gameskraft marketer joins fintech platform to lead its next growth chapter
BENGALURU: In a move aimed at giving its growth story fresh market momentum, Rupeezy has appointed Amit Kushwaha as chief marketing officer, bringing aboard a marketing leader with more than 17 years of experience across consumer insights, brand building, digital growth and high-growth startups.
The appointment comes as the fintech and wealth-tech platform looks to strengthen its position in India’s increasingly competitive investment and broking landscape, where customer trust, brand differentiation and digital acquisition have become key battlegrounds.
Kushwaha’s career spans market research, consumer marketing and brand leadership. He began his professional journey with global research firms Kantar and Nielsen, where he built expertise in consumer behaviour, market intelligence and brand strategy before moving into the startup ecosystem.
Over the years, he has held leadership roles across a diverse set of consumer-facing businesses, including Gameskraft, Embibe, Asort.com, OYO and Jabong.
Among his notable stints was his time at Jabong, where he contributed to the growth and repositioning of one of India’s most recognisable online fashion brands. He later joined OYO during a pivotal expansion phase, helping drive brand-building initiatives that supported the hospitality company’s rapid rise to national prominence.
Most recently, Kushwaha served as head of brand marketing and public relations at Gameskraft, where he spent more than five years leading brand strategy, customer engagement and growth initiatives in the highly competitive online gaming sector.
Throughout his career, he has developed expertise across customer acquisition, performance marketing, digital strategy, strategic communications, market research and business transformation. Industry peers often credit him for combining analytical rigour with storytelling-led brand building, an increasingly valuable skill set in today’s data-driven marketing environment.
At Rupeezy, Kushwaha will oversee the company’s overall marketing vision, including brand strategy, customer acquisition, content-led growth, communications and conversion optimisation across investment products.
According to his professional profile, his priorities will include scaling digital and performance marketing efforts, strengthening the brand’s positioning in the fintech sector, expanding investor education initiatives and enhancing trust through strategic communications.
His appointment also reflects a wider trend across India’s fintech industry, where companies are increasingly investing in senior marketing talent as competition intensifies and customer acquisition costs continue to rise.
An MBA graduate from Institute of Rural Management and an engineering alumnus of GIT Jaipur, Kushwaha brings a blend of analytical and commercial experience to the role.
As Rupeezy seeks to expand its footprint in India’s fast-evolving wealth-tech market, the company is betting that Kushwaha’s experience in building consumer brands at scale will help it convert awareness into long-term customer growth. After all, in a sector where trust is currency, strong branding can be just as valuable as strong returns.
