Epigamia appoints Ritesh Gauba as CEO, elevates Ankur Goel
Dairy brand strengthens leadership as it enters next phase of growth
MUMBAI: Epigamia has appointed Ritesh Gauba as its chief executive officer, marking a key leadership transition as the company looks to scale its next phase of growth.
Alongside the appointment, the company has elevated Ankur Goel to the additional role of co-founder and chief operating officer, formalising his expanded responsibilities within the business.
The leadership changes come after a challenging period for the company following the untimely demise of co-founder Rohan Mirchandani. Since December 2024, Goel had been leading operations as acting head, alongside co-founder Uday Thakker and growth head Ajinkya Poundrik.
Gauba joins from pladis Global, where he served as country general manager for India, overseeing brands such as McVitie’s and Godiva. He brings over two decades of experience across sales, marketing and general management roles in leading consumer companies.
Prior to this, he spent nearly eight years at Mars, including as sales director for Mars Wrigley India and in broader regional leadership roles. His earlier career includes stints at Britannia Industries Limited and Tata Motors, spanning trade marketing, brand management and international business.
Backed by Verlinvest, Epigamia has built a strong presence in India’s premium dairy and health-focused foods segment, and the new leadership structure is expected to sharpen its growth strategy.
The dual move signals a blend of continuity and fresh perspective, with Goel anchoring operational depth while Gauba steps in to drive scale and expansion in an increasingly competitive market.
