CoinSwitch partners with India Ke Top 1% for interactive quiz-led show integration
Quiz on CoinSwitch app gives top performers a chance to qualify for Anil Kapoor-hosted show
MUMBAI: Crypto investing and trading platform CoinSwitch has partnered with Anil Kapoor-hosted reality game show India Ke Top 1% as its Co-powered By Partner, bringing an interactive version of the show’s format to its app.
The show, which premieres on Star Plus and JioHotstar on 19 September, will bring together 100 contestants in a competition based on logic, observation, common-sense reasoning and attention to detail. The winner of each episode will have a chance to take home up to Rs 1 crore and the title of India Ke Top 1%.
As part of the partnership, CoinSwitch users can participate in a qualifying quiz on the app featuring challenges inspired by the show’s format. The top five performers will be selected, with the top two getting an opportunity to appear on India Ke Top 1% and meet Anil Kapoor.
The remaining three performers will each receive Bitcoin worth Rs 20,000, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
CoinSwitch co-founder Ashish Singhal said the partnership is designed to make the show more participatory by giving audiences an opportunity to test their instincts and engage with its format beyond television viewing.
JioStar head, entertainment sales, TV Mahesh Shetty said the integration combines prime-time family viewing with second-screen participation through the CoinSwitch app.
India Ke Top 1% is the Indian adaptation of international format The 1% Club. The 26-episode series will test contestants on their ability to interpret information, identify patterns and make connections.
The show will air every Saturday and Sunday from 8 pm to 9 pm on Star Plus and JioHotstar.
The partnership is also aimed at expanding CoinSwitch’s engagement across India, including audiences in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities alongside its existing metro user base.
