Blissclub taps Abhay Deol to mark entry into menswear
New campaign shifts focus from products to comfort and everyday rituals as brand expands portfolio
MUMBAI: Sometimes the loudest statement is made in the softest clothes. That’s the idea behind Blissclub’s latest campaign, which features actor Abhay Deol and marks the athleisure brand’s entry into the menswear category with a story centred on comfort rather than conventional celebrity endorsement.
Titled around the idea of discovering what “bliss” really means, the campaign takes a conversational route instead of a product-heavy pitch. The film follows Deol reflecting on his daily routines, personal rituals and the role comfort plays in everyday life, weaving the brand’s message into an intimate narrative.
The campaign coincides with Blissclub’s expansion beyond its women’s athleisure portfolio, signalling its ambitions to build a broader lifestyle brand with the launch of a dedicated menswear range.
Unlike traditional fashion campaigns that place the spotlight firmly on apparel, Blissclub uses the film to explore themes of presence, ease and authenticity, allowing the products to remain in the background while the conversation takes centre stage.
Founder Minu Margeret said the campaign reflects the philosophy on which the brand was built that comfort has the power to shape everyday experiences. She added that Abhay Deol’s understated and thoughtful personality aligned naturally with the message the company wanted to communicate as it extends its comfort-first approach to menswear.
With the new campaign, Blissclub is also signalling a shift in its marketing playbook, opting for storytelling over salesmanship. By pairing its menswear debut with a reflective narrative, the brand is betting that authenticity not just apparel will help it carve out space in India’s increasingly competitive lifestyle and athleisure market.
