Aastha Khurana joins InsuranceDekho as PR and communications lead
Thirteen years of PR grind lead to a fresh chapter at InsuranceDekho
GURUGRAM: New industry, same instincts. Aastha khurana has joined InsuranceDekho as PR and corporate communications lead, swapping travel, hospitality, technology and AI for a sector she readily admits is entirely new territory. After thirteen years of building narratives for other industries, insurance is now her canvas, and if her track record is any indication, she will make quick work of the learning curve.
Khurana’s most recent stop was RateGain, where as director corporate communications she did something rarer than it sounds: built a corporate communications function from scratch. Over two years and four months, she ran media, events and executive thought leadership campaigns, sharpened employer branding to pull in top talent, and led the messaging, both internal and external, around RateGain’s acquisition of Sojern. Not a bad portfolio for someone setting up a function with no playbook to inherit.
Before RateGain, Khurana spent six years at Allison Worldwide, climbing from account manager to account director, working on marquee global accounts including Booking.com, the Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022, Niantic, Accor, Decathlon and INTO Global. She led a six-member team, crafted campaigns that landed top-tier media placements, and counselled clients through crisis communication and reputation repair, the kind of work that separates operators from communicators. Her career began at HyperText, handling PR and media operations for Accor and Decathlon.
What comes through clearly in Khurana’s own reflection is a sharpened sense of what good work culture looks like, clarity she says she is carrying forward into this new chapter. For InsuranceDekho, that is rather the point: a communications lead who has already proven she can build from zero, adapt across industries and hold her own in a crisis, now pointed at an industry ready for a sharper, more visible voice.
