Instamart surprises top mango buyers with Aamnivorous kits
Mumbai’s biggest mango fans rewarded as Aam Paglu campaign enters final stretch.
MUMBAI: Mango season may be ending, but Instamart is making sure the memories stay deliciously sticky. Quick-commerce platform Instamart has surprised some of Mumbai’s biggest mango buyers with exclusive ‘Aamnivorous’ kits, rewarding customers who ordered extraordinary quantities of mangoes during the summer as part of its ongoing ‘Aam Paglu’ campaign.
The unexpected deliveries quickly found their way onto social media, with recipients sharing unboxing videos and reaction reels after discovering quirky merchandise instead of more fruit. The kits include a bib, pimple patches, wet wipes, stickers and a playful note celebrating what Instamart calls the city’s most devoted mango lovers.
Designed for self-confessed “Aam Paglus”, the kits lean into the messy reality of mango season sticky hands, stained T-shirts, questionable table manners and an unwavering commitment to finishing every last slice.
One LinkedIn user said she had simply ordered mangoes through Instamart but “ended up getting much more than just mangoes” after unexpectedly receiving the Aamnivorous kit. Others joked that they had anticipated another fruit delivery but were instead treated to an experience designed especially for mango enthusiasts. The activation builds on insights Instamart shared earlier this summer about India’s mango-buying habits. The company revealed that Sindhu emerged as the country’s most-ordered mango variety, while Bengaluru topped overall consumption. Mumbai, however, stood out for a different reason, with hundreds of customers purchasing mangoes by the crate instead of by the kilogram.
The Aamnivorous kits represent the latest chapter in Instamart’s ‘Aam Paglu’ campaign, which celebrates India’s annual mango ritual from eagerly tracking the arrival of seasonal varieties to passionately debating favourites and making the most of the harvest before it disappears for another year.
The campaign also reflects a broader trend in quick commerce, where brands are increasingly blending deliveries with surprise rewards and shareable experiences to build stronger consumer engagement. In a market where convenience is becoming a given, memorable moments are emerging as the next competitive advantage.
For Mumbai’s most enthusiastic mango lovers, this season didn’t just end with the last bite, it came with an unexpected souvenir to remember it by.
