Dish TV brings VZY Smart TVs to Kerala with bundled DTH, OTT and uninterrupted sports coverage
The broadcaster is pitching an integrated entertainment ecosystem to Kerala households, built around a new smart TV range and a promise of non-stop viewing through the FIFA World Cup cycle
KERALA: Dish TV is coming for Kerala’s living rooms. The broadcaster has launched an integrated entertainment ecosystem in the state, centred on its new VZY Smart TV range and designed to bundle live television, OTT platforms and regional content into a single, seamless experience for modern households.
The flagship product is a premium 65-inch VZY Smart TV, built with what Dish TV describes as cinematic-grade display and audio technologies. The set offers access to live TV, streaming platforms, regional entertainment, sports and on-demand content through one unified interface, with no juggling of remotes or subscriptions.
Two propositions sit at the heart of the pitch. The first is “FIFA to FIFA,” which guarantees consumers uninterrupted access to television services through the entire FIFA World Cup cycle. The second is “Sports Always-On,” a feature that keeps viewers connected to major sporting events, including the World Cup, even during temporary recharge gaps or service interruptions. For a state that takes its football as seriously as Kerala does, that last detail is not a small thing.
Manoj Dobhal, chief executive and executive director of Dish TV India, said the launch was about simplifying what had become a fractured viewing experience. “We are simplifying content access while delivering greater convenience, flexibility and uninterrupted viewing for households across Kerala,” he said.
Sukhpreet Singh, chief revenue officer of Dish TV India, zeroed in on the regional dimension. “Kerala audiences have a strong affinity towards regional entertainment and premium viewing experiences,” he said. “Through the VZY Smart TV ecosystem, we are bringing together advanced technology, curated regional content and integrated entertainment services tailored to evolving consumer preferences.”
Dish TV, which has been in the market for over 22 years, is betting that bundling hardware, content and continuity of service is the formula that cracks a state with high media consumption and strong regional identity. Kerala is a test case. If the ecosystem lands here, the rest of South India will not be far behind.
