Britannia reshapes leadership team as Chitwan Singh, Rahul Mahajan take key roles
FMCG major strengthens domestic and international leadership with senior-level changes
MUMBAI: Britannia Industries Limited has announced senior leadership changes as part of a broader push to strengthen its domestic and international operations, appointing Chitwan Singh as chief business officer, international business, and elevating Rahul Mahajan to vice president, sales.
The company said the changes reflect its focus on building stronger leadership across key growth areas, including general trade, modern retail and global expansion.
Chitwan Singh will assume charge as chief business officer, international business, effective 15 June 2026. He brings extensive global FMCG experience across markets in North America, Africa and Asia, having held senior leadership roles at companies including Godrej Consumer Products Limited and Olam International.
At Godrej Consumer Products Limited, he previously served as chief executive officer for West Africa and later as chief executive officer of Strength of Nature in North America. Earlier in his career, he led packaged foods and biscuits businesses in African markets, managing end-to-end operations across manufacturing, distribution and marketing.
Rahul Mahajan has been elevated from national head of general trade (India) and business head for Nepal and institutions to vice president, sales, effective 1 April 2026.
In his recent role at Britannia, Mahajan led a Rs 13,000 crore general trade business, overseeing route-to-market transformation, distribution expansion and sales capability programmes across India. He also spearheaded an omnichannel business strategy spanning e-commerce, modern trade and out-of-home channels.
Before joining Britannia Industries Limited, Mahajan held senior leadership roles across major consumer companies including Marico Limited, L’Oréal and Mondelēz International, where he worked across sales, distribution, modern trade and regional business leadership roles.
The leadership changes come as Britannia continues to focus on strengthening execution across core categories, expanding distribution reach in rural and urban markets, and driving growth in both domestic and international segments.
With these appointments, the company is expected to sharpen its go-to-market strategy and accelerate its push across emerging channels and global markets in a competitive FMCG landscape.
