Satish Menon joins Nimbus as sports & media president
MUMBAI: Satish Menon, who recently left Sahara One, is joining Nimbus Communications as president – sports and media. He will be based in Mumbai and report to chief executive officer Digvijay Singh.
Menon will look after the Indian operations of Nimbus’ sports and media businesses. The international operations are directly supervised by Singh who is based out of Singapore.
Menon’s move to Nimbus clearly contradicts a recent media report put out after indiantelevision.com broke the news of his departure from Sahara One that Menon would “have the responsibility of all the Sahara Samay news channels.”
When Menon left Sahara One, he was sales, marketing and distribution president. Before that Menon was with Zee Telefilms where his last posting was as president of Zee News. He was also involved in Zee’s unsuccessful bid to acquire ICC World Cup cricket rights along with then vice chairman Vijay Jindal.
