Hyderabad: As India’s connected TV audience continues to grow, Hyderabad-based animation powerhouse Green Gold Animation is expanding its reach with the launch of Green Gold TV, a dedicated free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel on Samsung TV Plus.

The new 24/7 channel, available across India in Hindi, brings some of the company’s most-loved animated franchises including Mighty Raju, Super Bheem, Krishna Balram, Krishna, Chorr Police, and Luv Kushh, directly to Samsung TV households without requiring subscriptions, logins or extra downloads.

Positioned within Samsung TV Plus’ Kids category, Green Gold TV aims to recreate the simplicity of traditional television while embracing the flexibility of streaming. Weekdays will primarily feature episodic programming, accounting for around 70 per cent of the schedule, while weekends will be reserved for movie premieres and special features.

The launch comes as the FAST ecosystem gains momentum in India, fuelled by rising connected TV adoption and growing consumer appetite for premium, ad-supported content. By joining Samsung TV Plus, whose platform has surpassed 100 million active users globally across 30 countries, Green Gold is tapping into an audience increasingly choosing free, curated entertainment on the biggest screen in the home.

“For a long time, television offered access while digital offered choice, but often in fragmented ways,” said Rajiv Chilaka, founder and CEO of Green Gold Animation. He believes FAST platforms are bridging that gap by delivering a seamless, shared viewing experience that aligns with how modern families consume content.

Samsung TV Plus India’s head of business development, Kunal Mehta, said the partnership strengthens the platform’s kids’ offering while helping deliver trusted, family-friendly entertainment through an always-on viewing experience.

Beyond adding another distribution channel, the launch signals Green Gold’s broader push into the connected TV space. Unlike its on-demand digital presence, Green Gold TV has been designed as a curated linear feed, encouraging longer and more immersive viewing sessions.

As India’s FAST market begins to find its footing, Green Gold Animation is positioning itself among the early players hoping to shape how children’s and family entertainment is discovered, consumed and enjoyed in the streaming era. After all, when it comes to reaching young viewers, the company is betting that sometimes the best way forward is to keep things refreshingly simple and always on.
