Amagi partners SVC to expand cloud media technology reach in South America
The tie-up will bring cloud modernisation, streaming and monetisation solutions to four Latin American markets
MUMBAI: Media technology company Amagi has partnered with Argentina-based Sistemas de Video Comunicación S.A. (SVC) to expand access to its cloud-based media solutions across Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia.
The partnership will combine Amagi’s cloud modernisation, content distribution, streaming and monetisation technologies with SVC’s regional expertise and local technical support, targeting broadcasters, content owners and distributors looking to modernise their operations.
The arrangement aims to give media companies a route to cloud-based operations while retaining access to local support and market-specific expertise. The companies said the tie-up would help customers simplify workflows, unify distribution and improve audience reach, engagement and revenue opportunities.
“This partnership reflects how we think about growth in Latin America: hand-selecting partners who understand their markets as well as we understand our technology,” said Amagi Latin America director of sales Ronaldo Dias.
He added that SVC would provide the regional reach and support needed by broadcasters, content providers and distributors seeking to streamline operations and expand distribution.
SVC chief executive officer Mariano Simonetta said Amagi’s technology would offer broadcasters and content distributors greater innovation and flexibility, complemented by SVC’s regional knowledge and support.
For Amagi, the agreement represents a further investment in Latin America through stronger local partnerships. For SVC, it expands the range of next-generation technologies available to customers as the media industry moves towards more flexible, cloud-based operating models.
The companies formally presented the partnership at The CAPER Show 2026, held in Buenos Aires from 7 to 9 October, where they met customers and partners to discuss media technology transformation.
Amagi provides cloud-based technology for video production, playout, distribution and monetisation across linear television, free ad-supported streaming television (FAST), streaming and social platforms. The company said it manages more than 16,000 channel deliveries across over 300 distributors in more than 40 countries.
