German company wins Made For Mobile content award

CANNES: Hamburg companies Beck Office and Mineus’ project enabling people viewing the German finals of the Eurovision song contest to send videos of themselves via their handsets to broadcaster ARD’s website, won the Made For Mobile content award at Mip here on Thursday.

The jury praised the project’s true cross media nature, combining TV, telecoms and the web. Best Mobile drama was ‘Who Kidnapped Rachel B?’ produced by Inbar Wolanski of Chooz-JCS (Israel). ‘Diving Competition’ from Manchester United, was picked for best understanding of the mobile medium.

There were more than 60 entries for the Made for Mobile screenings, which were sponsored by Vodafone.
