FTV head Adams arrested on indecent assault charge
MUMBAI: The head of the Paris-based fashion channel Fashion TV Michel Adams has been arrested in Israel on suspicion of indecent assault.
Media reports have quoted Israeli police as saying that Adams was arrested on Saturday night following a complaint by a young model who said the FTV chief assaulted her at a nightclub.
According to the young woman, the incident had taken place Friday during a party at a Tel Aviv bar. Magistrates have ordered that Adams be placed under house arrest for six days.
The 20-year-old model has accused Adams and a local model agent, Shai Avital, of following her separately to the women’s bathroom at the Fashion Bar in Tel Aviv. Both of them forcibly kissed her on the neck and put their hands in her underwear, she has alleged in her complaint to the police.
Adams’s lawyer, Sassi Gaz has denied the charge against his client. Avital has been released on bail.
