Since the nominees were announced in July by American Idol judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson, more than 3.6 million votes were cast on AOL for the best television moments from last season. In fact, Paula was competing in the kiss category for Fox’s reality show.

The best talk show moment went to Live with Regis and Kelly. Here Regis let Kelly’s baby take a fall. Fans preferred it to California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger governing Jay Leno on NBC’s Tonight Show.. NBC’s hospital drama ER had a moment that surprised viewers the most. A helicopter crashed into Dr. Romano. In India the show airs on Zee English.

In the reality genre CBS’ Survivor came out on top.
