DD to produce film on former PM Shastri

MUMBAI: To commemorate the birth centenary year of India’s former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, national broadcaster Doordarshan will produce a 110-minute film, I&B minister Jaipal Reddy has announced.
 

The film on the life of the late prime minister will be in tele-serial and documentary formats, the Press trust of India quoted Reddy as telling the Rajya Sabha in a written reply today.
 
 

Films Division has already produced two films on Shastri in 1966 and 1967, Reddy said.
