MUMBAI: Dhurandhar Part One is set to hit theatres in Japan on 10 July 2026, extending its global run after a record-breaking performance at the box office.

Produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film has already clocked over Rs 1,328 crore worldwide since its original release, making it one of the biggest Hindi film successes in recent years.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy action thriller has delivered standout performances across international markets. It emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time in North America and set new benchmarks for Indian cinema in Canada and Australia, while also ranking among the top performers in the UK.

The Japan release marks a strategic push into newer territories, reflecting the growing global appetite for Indian films that blend large-scale storytelling with universal themes. With its mix of high-octane action, drama and layered narrative, the film is expected to resonate with Japanese audiences.

Led by Ranveer Singh, the ensemble cast also includes Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun, adding to the film’s wide appeal.

The project is written, directed and produced by Aditya Dhar, with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar also backing the film.

Having already shattered several box office records, Dhurandhar’s Japan debut signals the next phase of its international journey, as Indian cinema continues to expand its footprint across global markets.
