The Bear House brings rugby-inspired style to everyday menswear with new edit
The Rugby Edit blends vintage sporting cues with relaxed silhouettes for modern wardrobes
MUMBAI: Rugby is stepping off the pitch and into the everyday wardrobe, with The Bear House introducing The Rugby Edit, a menswear collection inspired by the sport’s character, resilience and understated confidence.
The collection reworks familiar rugby influences through a contemporary fashion lens, combining vintage athletic references with relaxed silhouettes designed for everyday wear.
Rather than recreating traditional rugby uniforms, The Bear House uses elements associated with the sport to create a more casual wardrobe. Structured details, understated styling and vintage-inspired aesthetics run through the collection, reflecting what the brand describes as the mindset of rugby.
The Rugby Edit includes T-shirts, polos, hoodies, sweatshirts and co-ord sets. The pieces are designed to work across casual outings and social occasions while retaining the collection’s sporting influence.
For the brand, rugby represents more than physical competition. Resilience, character, camaraderie and confidence form the broader inspiration behind the collection, with these qualities translated into understated designs rather than overt sportswear.
The Bear House co-founder Tanvi Somaiya said the collection aims to capture the spirit of rugby and translate its attitude into contemporary everyday dressing.
The Rugby Edit comes as sports and fashion continue to overlap, with sporting references increasingly influencing casual wardrobes. The collection takes that trend a step further by using rugby’s visual language and cultural identity as inspiration for modern menswear.
With rugby gaining greater visibility in India, The Bear House is also positioning the collection within a wider conversation around rugby fashion and popular culture, exploring how the sport’s distinctive identity can influence contemporary style beyond the pitch.
