Spotify appoints Aditi Shorewal as head of PR & communications
Former Tinder communications leader joins Spotify to steer storytelling and brand reputation
MUMBAI – Hitting the right note, music streaming giant Spotify has appointed Aditi Shorewal as its new head of PR & communications, strengthening its leadership team as it continues to deepen engagement with creators, artists, partners, and listeners across India.
Shorewal joins Spotify after a successful stint at Tinder, where she served as communications lead for India and later India and Korea. During her tenure, she led strategic communications, brand storytelling, and reputation-building initiatives across key markets, helping shape the brand’s voice among digitally connected audiences.
Her appointment brings more than a decade of experience spanning public relations, content marketing, social media strategy, media relations, and corporate communications. Over the years, she has built an impressive portfolio across global technology, media, and consumer-facing brands.
Before Tinder, Shorewal served as head of communications and content marketing at Eventbrite and previously held the role of lead, communications and social media marketing at Twitter. Her career also includes leadership positions at 4media group UK, where she managed global media relations, as well as earlier roles with NDTV, Times Internet Limited, and The Times of India.
Announcing her move, Spotify head of PR & communications Aditi Shorewal said, “Excited to share that I’m joining Spotify as head of PR & communications. Feeling grateful for the journey that brought me here and looking forward to working with incredible teams, creators, artists, and partners to tell stories that spark conversations, shape culture, and connect people in India and beyond.”
Beyond her professional achievements, Shorewal has a strong academic background. She holds a master’s degree in digital asset and media management from King’s College London, where she received the India Masters Scholarship, and earned her bachelor’s degree from Lady Shri Ram College For Women.
The appointment comes as Spotify continues to invest in local content, creator partnerships, and audience engagement across India. With Shorewal now leading communications, the company is adding a seasoned storyteller to its ranks at a time when brand narratives are increasingly shaping how audiences connect with platforms.
