Schbang appoints Karthik Krishnan as senior creative director
Former Ogilvy and The Content Lab creative leader joins to strengthen creative leadership
MUMBAI: Schbang has strengthened its creative leadership with the appointment of Karthik Krishnan as senior creative director. Krishnan announced the move on LinkedIn with a characteristically light-hearted post, writing, “I’ve joined Schbang as a Senior Creative Director!” while thanking Bhagti Mavia and Nikhil for a smooth onboarding experience.
He joins Schbang after serving as executive creative director at The Content Lab, where he led the agency’s copy and art teams and oversaw creative mandates for brands including Flipkart, Amazon Prime, Akasa Air, Swiggy, Odomos, Odonil, Wildcraft and Hello Kitty.
Before that, Krishnan spent more than three years as creative director at Ogilvy, leading campaigns for marquee brands such as Cadbury Silk, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Cadbury Bournville, Marico Set Wet and HUL Love & Care.
His career also includes a stint as creative director at The Digital Street, where he managed a 16-member creative team and worked across FMCG, technology, hospitality, BFSI and education brands. Earlier in his career, he handled campaigns for clients including ITC, Emami, HDFC Home Loans, British Council and DHL.
With nearly two decades of experience spanning integrated advertising, digital marketing and brand storytelling, Krishnan brings a strong portfolio of consumer brand work to Schbang. His appointment comes as agencies continue to invest in senior creative talent to meet growing demand for integrated, digital-first campaigns across categories.
