Rivaah by Tanishq launches bridal jewellery trousseaus across seven communities
Wedding Signatures offers occasion-led jewellery wardrobes for the modern Indian bride
MUMBAI: One wedding, many looks, and now a jewellery wardrobe to match. Rivaah by Tanishq has launched Wedding Signatures, a collection of complete bridal jewellery trousseaus designed around seven distinct Indian bridal communities.
The collection brings together bridal jewellery inspired by Tamil, Telugu, Bihari, Rajasthani/Marwadi, Gujarati and Marathi traditions, alongside a Pan India/Metro edit for brides influenced by multiple cultural and contemporary styles.
The new proposition reflects how Indian weddings are evolving, with modern brides increasingly curating their celebrations around individual functions and experiences rather than treating the wedding as a single event.
According to Rivaah, a bride can spend eight to 12 months making choices across the destination, venue, functions, fashion, photography, décor, beauty and jewellery. This has also changed the way bridal jewellery is selected, with individual pieces increasingly chosen to complement specific occasions and looks.
Wedding Signatures responds to this shift with a complete jewellery wardrobe designed to accompany the bride across the different moments of her wedding journey.
Each of the seven bridal worlds has been developed with its own jewellery vocabulary. The Marathi trousseau features forms such as the Vati Mangalsutra, Tushi necklace and Vajra Teek Choker, while the Rajasthani/Marwadi edit includes the Borla, Tevta, Aad and Panchlada Haar.
The Gujarati collection draws on traditional forms including Chandan Haar, Dodi, Mor and Keri. Meanwhile, the Tamil and Telugu trousseaus explore South Indian and temple-inspired jewellery traditions.
The Pan India/Metro trousseau takes a more contemporary approach, catering to brides who blend influences from different cultures and style references.
The collection also expands Rivaah’s jewellery vocabulary with pieces such as Kaleeras, Matha Patti, Vankis, Surya and Chandra, Nethi Chutti and Mattal, alongside contemporary interpretations of established regional designs.
Wedding Signatures has been developed by Tanishq’s Design Excellence Centre, bringing together regional understanding, design expertise and craftsmanship across the seven bridal identities.
The launch is supported by the campaign “One Wedding. Many Stories.”, which expands the collection into the wider wedding ecosystem through destination, photography and film.
Wedding photographer Joseph Radhik has captured select bridal looks at Taj Jai Mahal Palace in Jaipur, while filmmaker Shoojit Sircar has created a series of regional films to bring the different wedding stories to life.
For the South Indian market, actor Anupama Parameswaran is the face of Rivaah and will front the campaign for brides across the region.
Rather than presenting the jewellery in isolation, the campaign places each look within the destination, atmosphere and storytelling of a wedding. The approach is designed to connect the jewellery with the broader celebration and the individual story being created by the bride.
Speaking on the launch, Tanishq chief marketing officer Pelki Tshering said that as brides curate their weddings with greater intention, every choice, from the destination and celebrations to fashion, photography and jewellery, contributes to the overall experience.
She added that Wedding Signatures brings together complete jewellery wardrobes across seven distinct Indian bridal looks, with pieces designed for the different occasions that make up the wedding journey.
The Rivaah by Tanishq Wedding Signatures collection is now available across Tanishq stores and online, giving brides a regional and occasion-led approach to building their wedding jewellery wardrobe.
