MUMBAI: Raymond Lifestyle has appointed its chief executive officer Satyaki Ghosh as whole-time director for a five-year term, further strengthening his leadership role at the company as it pushes for long-term growth and operational expansion.

The appointment, effective from May 6, 2026 to May 5, 2031, is subject to shareholder approval. Ghosh had taken over as chief executive officer of Raymond Lifestyle in January this year.

In his expanded role, Ghosh will continue to oversee the company’s strategic direction and business operations while also joining the board in an executive capacity. According to the company, his mandate remains focused on driving “profitable and sustainable growth acceleration” while building a more agile and growth-oriented organisation.

Ghosh brings more than two decades of leadership experience across consumer goods, textiles, retail and fashion-led businesses. Before joining Raymond Lifestyle, he spent over nine years with Aditya Birla Group and Grasim Industries, where he held multiple chief executive roles across the textiles and fibre businesses.

Most recently, he served as chief executive officer of Grasim’s cellulosic fashion yarn business, overseeing operations spanning manufacturing, supply chain, sales, marketing and research functions. He also earlier led Grasim’s domestic textiles division, handling brands including Linen Club and other premium fabric businesses.

Before his stint in textiles, Ghosh spent nearly eight years with L’Oréal in India and global roles, including as director of the consumer products division in India. During his tenure, he managed brands such as Garnier, L’Oréal Paris and Maybelline New York, overseeing large-scale sales, marketing and distribution operations.

His earlier career included leadership roles at Spencer’s Retail and PepsiCo, where he worked across sales strategy, retail expansion and trade operations.

The elevation comes at a significant time for Raymond Lifestyle as the company continues to sharpen its focus on fashion, apparel and lifestyle-led growth amid rising competition in India’s premium consumer market.

For Raymond Lifestyle, bringing Ghosh onto the board formally signals continuity in leadership and a stronger push toward scaling the company’s brands in an increasingly competitive and fast-evolving retail landscape.
