PwC India appoints Rahul Tiwari as associate director for strategy and transformation
Tiwari joins the consulting firm after more than 11 years across strategy, marketing and growth
MUMBAI: Strategy takes a new turn for Rahul Tiwari, who has joined PwC India as associate director, strategy and transformation.
Tiwari announced the move on LinkedIn, marking a shift from industry strategy and business leadership to consulting. He brings more than 11 years of experience spanning strategy, marketing, sales, go-to-market planning and business growth.
In his new role, Tiwari said he will work on a broader range of strategy and transformation challenges, partnering with businesses on complex problems and growth opportunities.
The appointment comes after more than eight years at Pidilite Industries, where he most recently served as senior manager, corporate strategy in the vice chairman’s office. He held the position from April 2025 to August 2026, having previously spent two years as senior manager, corporate strategy in the managing director’s office.
At Pidilite, Tiwari worked with the leadership team on business strategy and major initiatives, while also collaborating with divisional teams on strategy execution. His responsibilities included identifying strategic and transformational projects, evaluating portfolio opportunities, tracking industry and competitor trends, and exploring new business, marketing and product opportunities.
Before moving into corporate strategy, Tiwari served as manager, category development and channel strategy at Pidilite from May 2021 to April 2023. In that role, he worked across marketing, go-to-market strategy, product launches, digital campaigns, distribution and business development.
He joined Pidilite as branch manager in January 2018 and spent more than three years in the role, overseeing sales and operational targets, field marketing initiatives, trade promotions and team management.
Tiwari’s earlier experience includes a year at Piramal Enterprises as area business manager and assistant brand manager. He began his professional journey with a management trainee role at the company before taking up a marketing internship at Procter & Gamble.
His career has therefore spanned both frontline commercial roles and leadership-facing strategy assignments, giving him experience across the full arc from market execution to long-term business planning.
Tiwari holds an MBA in marketing from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, where he studied from 2014 to 2016 and was also involved with Toastmasters International.
His move to PwC India comes as the consulting sector continues to place greater emphasis on executives who can combine industry experience with strategic and transformation expertise. For Tiwari, the new role represents an opportunity to take that experience from individual businesses to a wider set of organisations and challenges.
