News24 appoints Nikhil Kaushik and Hare Krishna Prakash to key roles

MUMBAI: Newsrooms thrive on breaking stories, but every so often it’s the team behind the headlines that makes the news. News24 has strengthened its leadership bench with two senior appointments, bringing in broadcast veterans Nikhil Kaushik as Creative Head and Hare Krishna Prakash as Executive Producer as the channel looks to sharpen its visual storytelling and editorial output.

Kaushik joins News24 with more than 19 years of experience in motion graphics and broadcast design, most recently serving at ABP News Network. Over the course of his career, he has earned multiple industry accolades for his work in AR and VR graphics, including several NT Gold Awards and ENBA Awards.

Prakash brings more than 24 years of experience in television journalism, having previously worked with Aaj Tak, India TV and Bharat Express News. His career includes leading coverage of major national events such as General Elections, State Assembly Elections and the Union Budget, alongside launching and producing several prime-time news programmes.

Announcing the appointments, Manak Gupta, Managing Editor, News24 Broadcast, said the duo’s combined expertise would play a key role in strengthening the channel’s editorial depth and on-screen presentation.

According to the channel, Kaushik will focus on enhancing News24’s visual identity through creative design and broadcast innovation, while Prakash will oversee the production of high-impact programming and strengthen coverage of key national stories.

The appointments come as television news broadcasters continue to invest in experienced editorial and creative talent to differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive and visually driven news landscape. By bringing together expertise in broadcast design and newsroom leadership, News24 is betting that stronger storytelling begins long before the cameras start rolling.
