NDTV elevates Manogya Loiwal to executive editor

MUMBAI: NDTV has elevated veteran journalist Manogya Loiwal as executive editor, reinforcing its senior editorial leadership with a journalist who has spent more than two decades reporting from some of India’s most significant news fronts.

Loiwal joins NDTV after serving as editor and anchor at ABP Network, where she had been part of the organisation since January 2021. During her tenure, she fronted major news coverage while leading editorial initiatives across television news.

Before moving to ABP Network, Loiwal enjoyed a long stint at India Today, where she worked as deputy editor. Over nearly 16 years, she led editorial coordination across eastern and north-eastern India, managing reporting operations spanning West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Sikkim, the North East and Bangladesh.

Her television journalism career also includes key reporting roles at NewsX, where she served as principal correspondent between 2007 and 2009, and at Network18’s IBN7, where she was bureau chief based in Kolkata from 2005 to 2007.

Loiwal began her journalism career in print as a correspondent with Dainik Jagran in 2004 before transitioning to television news.

Known for her on-ground reporting, election coverage and political journalism, Loiwal has built a reputation for handling high-impact stories across national and regional beats. Her appointment comes as NDTV continues to strengthen its editorial bench with experienced newsroom leaders.

With experience spanning print, television reporting, anchoring and newsroom leadership, Loiwal’s elevation marks another significant chapter in a journalism career that has evolved alongside India’s fast-changing television news landscape.
