The appointments span sales and strategy, with a focus on agency partnerships and growth across India’s programmatic advertising market
MUMBAI: MiQ is adding fresh firepower to its India operations, bringing three industry veterans on board as it looks to strengthen its sales and strategy capabilities in a market where data, technology and media are increasingly intertwined. The global programmatic media partner has appointed Ashish Ashdhir as regional director – sales (West), Sameer Bajaj as regional director – sales (North) and Yasser Suhail as director – strategy.
The appointments are aimed at deepening client engagement, strengthening agency partnerships and supporting MiQ’s next phase of growth in India.
Ashdhir will focus on agency relationships and business development across western India. He brings experience in media sales, revenue management and agency partnerships, having previously worked with JioHotstar, Viacom18 Media and Times Internet, among other organisations.
Bajaj, who takes charge of sales in the North, will lead efforts to strengthen client and agency relationships while developing new business opportunities. He brings more than 18 years of experience across media and adtech, spanning business development, product launches and business expansion. His previous leadership roles include stints at Silverpush, Convosight, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Star TV Network.
Suhail joins as director – strategy, bringing more than 15 years of experience across digital strategy, business development and client leadership. Having worked with agencies and brands across FMCG, health and fitness, entertainment and direct-to-consumer businesses, he will focus on business growth and strategic client partnerships. Before joining MiQ, he was vice-president – client services at Wavemaker (WPP Media) and held leadership positions at GOQii and Publicis Media.
The three appointments bring experience from across the media, agency, brand and adtech ecosystems, as MiQ looks to help advertisers navigate an increasingly technology-led digital advertising market.
MiQ vice-president – revenue Ribhu Mishra said the appointments would strengthen the company’s capabilities across sales, agency partnerships and client strategy. He highlighted Ashdhir’s experience in the OTT and media ecosystem, Bajaj’s understanding of media and adtech, and Suhail’s background working across agencies and brands.
Ashdhir said he would draw on his experience in India’s evolving OTT and media landscape to build stronger relationships with brands and agencies. Bajaj pointed to the growing role of data and technology in helping advertisers connect with consumers, while Suhail said his 15-plus years in digital marketing would inform his new role.
For MiQ, the leadership additions come as it continues to invest in its Indian business. The company is looking to combine its expanded sales and strategy expertise to strengthen client partnerships and help marketers translate data and technology into business outcomes.
