NEW DELHI: DailyObjects, the Indian design-led lifestyle tech brand, has appointed Zeenah Vilcassim as its global chief marketing officer, handing her the job of turning a homegrown label into a genuinely international one. Vilcassim brings over 17 years of experience across the US, Europe, the Middle East, China and India, a spread of markets that reads less like a résumé and more like a masterclass in taking brands global.

In her new role, Vilcassim will lead DailyObjects’ global brand and marketing strategy as the company builds on its success in India and pushes further into international markets. It is a mandate that sits squarely in her wheelhouse: before joining DailyObjects, she led marketing for Nothing in India, ran Zomato Live (now District by Zomato) as chief executive, building that business from scratch, and served as chief marketing officer at Bacardi India, where she led consumer and customer marketing across the company’s portfolio. Earlier still, she was global brand director for whiskies at Bacardi, shaping brand strategy across international markets, a role that gave her the global vantage point DailyObjects is now betting on.

Across these roles, Vilcassim has built a clear formula for enduring consumer brands, pairing sharp consumer insight with a distinctive proposition and disciplined business execution. Her experience spans scaling established brands and building new businesses from the ground up, while adapting global ideas to local consumer contexts, precisely the balancing act DailyObjects needs as it evolves from an India-born design brand into a globally relevant lifestyle business.

Commenting on the appointment, Pankaj Garg, co-founder and CEO of DailyObjects, said the company was at an important point in its journey and wanted a leader who combines an instinctive understanding of consumers with the ability to build distinctive brands across markets. He said Vilcassim’s experience spanning global brand stewardship, high-growth consumer businesses and ground-up venture building closely reflects the demands of the role, and that her ambition for the brand aligns with the founders’ own.

Vilcassim herself said what stands out about DailyObjects is that it has already built the foundations of a truly distinctive lifestyle brand, with a clear point of view on design, a strong understanding of contemporary consumers and the ability to create products that belong in everyday life. She said the founders’ ambition to take an India-born brand to the world strongly resonates with her own belief that the next generation of global consumer brands can be built with both local relevance and international appeal, and that she looks forward to bringing together consumer insight, brand-building rigour and market-specific storytelling to make DailyObjects meaningful to consumers wherever it goes.

The appointment lands as DailyObjects builds on its India-born design proposition and expands to a wider global audience. Founded on a design-first approach, the company has grown into a lifestyle brand spanning technology accessories, carry, workspace and everyday lifestyle products, and its first international showcase at IFA Berlin 2026 marked an important step in building relationships with international retail and distribution partners.

Vilcassim began her career as an economist and management consultant at Ernst & Young before moving into consumer and brand marketing. She has been named among IMPACT’s 40 Under 40 CMOs in India and The Drum’s Future 50 marketing leaders of tomorrow, is a guest speaker at the London School of Economics, and holds a master’s degree in econometrics and quantitative economics from the University of Edinburgh.
