NEW DELHI: Magicbricks has found its new boss. India’s leading property platform has appointed Mayank Jain as chief executive officer, effective October 1, 2026. Jain arrives from CarDekho, where he spent more than five years as CEO of Auto Classifieds.

Jain brings over two decades of leadership experience across digital, media, technology and consumer businesses. At CarDekho Group, he led the transformation and expansion of the business, building a profitable platform with artificial intelligence embedded at its core and driving its entry into new international markets.

The CV travels well. Before CarDekho Group, Jain was CEO of the Hindi News cluster at Network18, overseeing a portfolio of seven news channels, including News18 India. He has also held leadership positions at Disney Star, BT Group, Samsung and HT Media. His experience spans sales, marketing, product, strategy and P&L management, with a strong record of driving revenue growth, operational excellence and digital transformation.

The brief is clear. At Magicbricks, Jain will focus on accelerating the company’s next phase of growth by leveraging its digital capabilities, advancing technology-led innovation and strengthening its consumer-centric approach. His priorities include driving business transformation, improving operational and financial performance, and reinforcing Magicbricks’ position in India’s evolving real estate ecosystem.

Jain holds an MBA from INSEAD, a PGDM from Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon, and a degree in computer engineering. He has been recognised among IMPACT’s 40 Under 40 and serves as guest faculty at the Centre for Entrepreneurship at Ashoka University. Outside work, he takes a keen interest in technology, investing, fitness and team sports.

Jain will be based at the Magicbricks office in Noida and will report to N. Subramanian, executive director and group CEO of The Times Group. The appointment marks an important step in Magicbricks’ growth journey, bringing together deep cross-industry leadership experience, commercial expertise and a technology-driven approach to support the company’s long-term ambitions.

The platform he inherits has scale. Magicbricks bills itself as India’s No.1 property site and the largest platform for buyers and sellers to connect in a transparent manner. It has monthly traffic exceeding 2 crore and an active base of over 15 lakh property listings. It has grown into a full-stack service provider for all real estate needs, with services including home loans, interiors and expert advice.

With 17-plus years of experience and deep research-based knowledge, Magicbricks also offers insight-driven platforms such as MBTV, India’s leading online real estate YouTube channel, and other proprietary tools. Home buyers can use them to access information on price trends, forecasts and locality reviews.
