London: When one chapter closes, another gets its consulting fee. After spending more than a decade helping brands navigate change, Laurie Collins has signed off from Ogilvy, bringing an end to a 12-year journey with the global creative network.

Collins announced her departure in a LinkedIn post, describing her time at the agency as one that exceeded every expectation she had when she joined one of the advertising industry’s most recognised names. During her tenure, she worked across multiple geographies, business categories and strategic roles, while building long-standing relationships with colleagues, mentors and clients.

Her biggest contribution came within Ogilvy Consulting, where she spent the past nine years helping establish and expand the practice from the ground up. Rising through the ranks from associate strategist to senior consultant and ultimately consulting director, Collins played a key role in the division’s growth and its work on business transformation projects for leading brands.

Reflecting on the milestone, Laurie Collins said, “My time at Ogilvy has topped every expectation I ever had from being at one of the world’s most iconic creative networks.”

She also credited the people she worked alongside for shaping her experience, saying the opportunity to collaborate with talented colleagues across the business had been “the cherry on top” of her career.

Looking back on her years with the consulting arm, Collins described its evolution as the highlight of her professional journey. She said she was proud of the ideas the team had brought to life and the businesses it had helped transform, adding that she would miss the team and its leadership deeply.

Before joining Ogilvy in 2014 as an associate strategist, Collins began her advertising career through the account management graduate programme at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide, where she worked for two years.

Along the way, she also completed the Foundation eCommerce Accreditation from Amazon in 2018, gaining expertise in advertising and commerce on the retail platform. The same year, she graduated from Google’s invitation-only Squared Guru programme, designed to equip business leaders with skills to drive organisational transformation.

For now, Collins is taking a pause before her next professional move. She said the next chapter will be centred on spending more time with her family, sharpening her skills and exploring new opportunities, closing the door on a successful Ogilvy career while leaving the next page deliberately unwritten.
