Lalita Tiwari joins Motilal Oswal Financial Services as lead, corporate communications
The communications specialist brings a career spanning public relations, agency leadership, corporate communications and television to her new role
MUMBAI: Every company has a story, and someone has to tell it well. Lalita Tiwari, a communications specialist whose career stretches back to 2003, has joined Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd as lead, corporate communications.
Tiwari describes herself as an experienced communication specialist with an extensive work history in public relations and communications. Her skills, in her own words, cover media relations, client servicing, account management, leadership, software documentation and managing processes. She holds a post-graduate diploma in advertising and PR from KC College of Management.
Away from work, she is a dedicated yoga practitioner who actively brings mindfulness, balance and focus into both her personal and professional life. She is passionate about holistic well-being and about how conscious practices such as yoga can enhance leadership, creativity and team dynamics.
Her most recent chapter was at White Marque Solutions, where she spent four years and seven months and climbed steadily. She joined in July 2021 as strategy lead in Mumbai, moved up to practice head in April 2023, became assistant vice-president in April 2024 and was promoted to vice-president in April 2025, a post she held until January 2026. Four titles in under five years is a clear signal of trust.
Before that came Fortuna PR, where she was account director for seven years and five months, from January 2014 to May 2021, in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. A long stint in one agency, in the client-facing seat, is where media relations and account management are learnt properly.
The career has a colourful middle. From July 2011 to May 2012, Tiwari worked as producer and creative director on a Marathi television show, handling the production and creative direction of a Marathi TV serial. Few communications professionals can add that to a résumé.
Her early years were built on process and precision. At Genpact LLC, from May 2010 to June 2011, she was assistant manager, visual aid, in the SEP team, based in the Greater Delhi Area. She designed MS Office templates in PowerPoint, Word and Excel, and handled end-to-end tasking: visualising and supervising the final output and coordinating with different teams to get the desired results. She consulted teams to set the overall look of graphic elements and content for communication material, and worked on multiple projects covering effort estimation, productivity, quality, scheduling and business solutions. She also managed documents and content on the intranet portal, publishing news, polls, survey results, banners and mailers, and updating client sales pitches, CXO teasers and case studies on time. She set up work processes, training and documentation for those processes.
At ING, from February 2007 to March 2010, she was assistant manager, communication and graphics, in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. She worked at ING Vysya Life Co. Ltd and was associated with the ING Asia Pacific corporate communication team. There she managed documents and content on the intranet using MS SharePoint, and published news every day: market summaries, internal announcements, and happenings and updates from other ING entities across the globe. She also managed documentation for all departments in the region and prepared news updates, news reports, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations and other reports using MS Excel.
Her career began at Integreon Managed Solutions (I) Pvt. Ltd, where she was team leader from March 2003 to December 2006, in a dedicated hub for a US-based investment bank.
The analysis is straightforward. Tiwari has seen communication from nearly every angle: financial services, in-house corporate communications, agency leadership and television production. Her roles at Integreon and ING sat inside financial services and taught her how large organisations communicate internally, while Fortuna PR and White Marque Solutions taught her how they speak to the outside world. That combination suits a corporate communications lead in a financial services group, where messages must be accurate, timely and consistent. Her yoga practice, with its stress on focus and balance, also hints at a calm approach to leadership and team dynamics.
