MUMBAI: Looks like breakfast is getting a power-up. Kellogg’s Multigrain Chocos is taking a playful swing at nutrition education with the launch of Food Ninja, an anime-inspired card game designed to turn mealtime lessons into family game nights.

Available free with Kellogg’s Multigrain Chocos packs across India during June and July 2026, the initiative blends strategy, collectability and anime-style gameplay to help children learn about food and nutrition in a format they are more likely to embrace than a traditional lesson.

The move taps into the growing popularity of anime-inspired entertainment and collectible card games among younger audiences. Rather than limiting engagement to the breakfast table, Kellogg’s is extending the brand experience into interactive play, encouraging children to discover the nutritional value of different foods through card battles and strategy-based challenges.

The game has been designed to strike a balance between what children enjoy and what parents value. While youngsters get an immersive gaming experience, parents gain a tool that introduces nutritional concepts in a more engaging and memorable way.

According to Vinay Subramanyam, Senior Director, Marketing, Kellanova India, the idea was to bridge the gap between fun and learning by creating an experience that appeals to children’s love for gaming and anime while helping them better understand food choices.

The launch also reflects a broader trend in youth engagement, where brands are increasingly turning to gamified experiences to connect with digitally savvy audiences. As children spend more time interacting with gaming culture and collectible formats, educational experiences packaged as entertainment are gaining traction.

With Food Ninja, Kellogg’s Multigrain Chocos is betting that a little competition, a dash of anime flair and a stack of collectible cards can make conversations around nutrition feel less like homework and more like playtime.
