MUMBAI: HUL’s finance function has a new hand at the helm. Yogesh Mulgaonkar has taken on the role of CFO beauty & wellbeing and head of investor relations at Hindustan Unilever (HUL), according to his LinkedIn profile.

Mulgaonkar announced the move on LinkedIn, saying he was starting a new position as CFO beauty & wellbeing and head of investor relations at HUL. His profile lists the appointment as beginning in October 2026.

In the new role, Mulgaonkar will oversee the finance function for HUL’s beauty & wellbeing business while also continuing to lead investor relations. The appointment adds another senior finance responsibility to his career within HUL and its parent group, Unilever.

Before taking up his latest position, Mulgaonkar was VP finance/CFO Personal Care, Supply Chain and head of investor relations at HUL, a role he took up in April 2025.

His wider Unilever career spans finance, strategy and business leadership across India, the Middle East and the UK. From October 2024 to June 2025, he served as VP finance, personal care and supply chain finance CFO at Unilever in Mumbai.

Mulgaonkar was also chief financial officer, Arabia & Personal Care Middle East and Turkey, based in Dubai, from November 2023 to December 2024. Prior to that, he spent more than three years in London as global strategy finance director and chief of staff to the Unilever CFO, from October 2020 to November 2023.

His experience at HUL also includes a stint as director, mergers integration & change management, from May 2019 to September 2020. In that role, he led the end-to-end corporate and finance integration of GSK with HUL, covering commercial operations, treasury, reporting, financial shared services and trust-fund cutover.

The experience gave Mulgaonkar a ringside view of one of HUL’s major corporate integration exercises, adding a broader business dimension to his finance background.

Beyond his corporate roles, Mulgaonkar served on the Committee for Chartered Accountants in Industry, Entrepreneurship & Public Service at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from June 2021 to June 2022.

He has also completed a programme in sustainability finance at A4S Academy, graduating in June 2023.

The latest appointment brings together two key responsibilities for Mulgaonkar: financial oversight of HUL’s Beauty & Wellbeing business and engagement with the company’s investor community. With experience spanning personal care, supply chain, strategy, corporate integration and international finance, he now takes on a role at the intersection of business performance and capital-market communication.
