New Delhi: Shifting into a higher gear, Hero MotoCorp has strengthened its premium mobility ambitions by appointing Anuj Dua as chief business officer for its premium segment, effective August 3.

The appointment comes as the country’s largest two-wheeler maker sharpens its focus on premium motorcycles and scooters, backed by an expanding product portfolio, exclusive retail outlets and global technology partnerships.

Dua, who joins Hero MotoCorp’s leadership team and will be part of the company’s senior management, brings experience from Hero MotoCorp, Royal Enfield and Bajaj Auto. In his new role, he will oversee the company’s premium business strategy, including portfolio expansion, strategic partnerships, retail experiences and community-led rider engagement.

The company has been expanding its premium line-up with launches including the Glamour X, Xtreme 125R, Xtreme 250R, Xoom 160, XPulse 210 and the Harley-Davidson X440 T. It has also grown its Hero Premia retail and service network to more than 130 outlets across India, offering dedicated sales consultants and personalised after-sales support.

Hero MotoCorp is also strengthening its premium push through investments in advanced manufacturing and connected technologies. Its Neemrana “Garden Factory” serves as the company’s flagship production facility, combining automation, digital quality control and sustainable manufacturing practices, with plans to scale these capabilities across its manufacturing network.

The company is progressively integrating connected features, over-the-air software updates and advanced electronic architecture across its premium portfolio to enhance rider safety and ownership experience.

Hero MotoSports continues to play a strategic role in the company’s premium product development, with learnings from motorsport contributing to improvements in chassis dynamics, powertrain performance, electronic rider aids and overall vehicle durability.

With dedicated leadership now in place, Hero MotoCorp is signalling that premium mobility is no longer a niche play but a key pillar of its long-term growth strategy.
