Havas Media India wins Matrimony.com media mandate amid South India push
Agency strengthens regional momentum with AI-led media strategy and expanded operations
NEW DELHI: Havas Media India has won the integrated media mandate for Matrimony.com, adding another major client to its growing South India portfolio.
Under the mandate, the agency will handle media strategy, planning and buying for Matrimony.com across digital and traditional platforms, using its AI-led consumer intelligence and integrated media capabilities to drive growth and audience engagement.
Headquartered in Chennai, Matrimony.com operates some of India’s best-known matchmaking platforms including BharatMatrimony, Elite Matrimony, Tamil Matrimony, Telugu Matrimony and Kerala Matrimony, along with more than 300 community-based matchmaking services.
The account win further strengthens Havas Media India’s momentum in South India, where the agency has been expanding operations across Bengaluru and Chennai through new leadership hires, integrated service offerings and deeper regional capabilities.
The South business is led by Sujata Singh, who has previously worked with companies including Amazon India, GroupM, Omnicom and IPG Mediabrands.
Over the past year, Havas Media India has also expanded its Bengaluru operations under the Havas Village model, bringing media, digital, commerce, content and technology teams together under a unified ecosystem.
Today, the agency works with several major South-focused brands including Swiggy, V-Guard, Eurogrip, Muthoot FinCorp, Joyalukkas and Modenik Lifestyle.
Speaking about the partnership, Matrimony.com chief marketing officer Arjun Bhatia said the collaboration would help the company scale its brands with greater precision and consumer insight.
Meanwhile, Havas Media Network India chief executive officer Mohit Joshi described South India as one of the country’s most dynamic growth markets for brands.
Havas Media India and Havas Play chief operating officer Uday Mohan added that the partnership would focus on building meaningful, data-driven media experiences with measurable business impact.
As competition intensifies across India’s digital advertising landscape, regional depth and AI-powered consumer intelligence are increasingly becoming the matchmakers agencies are betting on.
