BENGALURU: Havas Creative India has made its move in the South. The agency has appointed Montu Sangha as Bengaluru head, a bet on a market that is fast becoming one of the country’s most dynamic for business.

Based in Bengaluru, Sangha will report to Anupama Ramaswamy, managing director and chief creative officer, Havas Creative India. Her brief is broad and ambitious: lead the agency’s operations in the region, accelerate business growth, deepen client partnerships, nurture talent and sharpen Havas Creative India’s integrated creative offering in South India.

The timing is telling. Bengaluru, the primary hub for all of the agency’s South India businesses, has seen steady growth and serves a diverse portfolio of clients across categories. Sangha’s arrival is expected to build on that momentum and strengthen the agency’s capabilities and presence in the region.

The office she inherits is no ordinary outpost. Over the years, Bengaluru has grown into one of Havas India’s most integrated villages, with all 26 agencies and their expertise under one roof. Sangha will work closely with leaders across the network to deepen integration and the One Havas ethos, unlock new growth opportunities and raise the value delivered to clients through the Village model.

Ramaswamy is clear about the thinking behind the hire. “As we continue to evolve our business and build for the future, it is important that we create an agile, empowered, and efficient leadership team that can respond to the changing needs of our clients and the market,” she said. “Montu brings a unique blend of strategic thinking, business acumen, operational excellence, and client leadership. Her experience across consulting, advertising, and brand building makes her exceptionally well-placed to lead our Bengaluru operations and unlock the next phase of growth for the business. We are delighted to welcome her to the Havas family.”

Sangha is equally upbeat. “Havas has built a strong reputation for creativity, integration, and meaningful client partnerships, making this an exciting time to join the organisation,” she said. “Bengaluru continues to be a thriving hub for innovation and business growth, and I look forward to working with our teams and clients to create impactful solutions, strengthen relationships, and drive the next chapter of growth for Havas Creative India in the region.”

The credentials back up the confidence. Sangha brings more than two decades of experience across advertising, consulting and client-side marketing, with expertise in business transformation, brand strategy and integrated communications.

Most recently, she was vice president at Dentsu, where she led business strategy, operations and growth for dentsu Bx and dentsu Lab India, partnering with CXOs on transformation, innovation and experience-led solutions. In an earlier stint with the network, she established and scaled its Bengaluru office, tripling revenues within three years and leading landmark assignments, including IKEA’s India launch and digital transformation initiatives for Tata Tea and AJIO.

Before Dentsu, Sangha held marketing leadership roles at GE Healthcare and HP UK, driving brand strategy, demand generation and integrated marketing programmes. Across her career, she has built high-performing teams, launched brands and delivered business growth across multiple categories and markets.

That mix of consulting, marketing transformation and integrated communications makes Sangha well placed to lead Havas Creative India’s Bengaluru operations and to power the agency’s continued growth journey.
