Ghanshyam Shinde climbs the Unilever ladder to brand manager for Vim liquids
From Himalaya hair care to dishwashing duty, the Mumbai marketer gets a soapy new brief
MUMBAI: Ghanshyam Shinde has moved up at Unilever. The Mumbai-based marketer is now brand manager for Vim liquids, tasked with driving penetration of the dishwash brand.
He joined Unilever in February 2023 as assistant brand manager on Closeup and spent three years and six months there before the latest jump in August 2026.
Before Unilever, Shinde put in four years and seven months at Himalaya Wellness in Bengaluru. He started as product associate in July 2018, moved to brand associate on Pure Hands, then hair care, and finished as associate brand manager for hair care until January 2023.
Earlier still, he cut his teeth at Maiyas Beverages and Foods as management trainee and then assistant manager in marketing, plus a short marketing internship at Eveready Industries.
From pure hands and hair care to getting the nation’s plates clean, Shinde is now in the thick of the dishwash game. Unilever clearly likes the cut of his jib.
