MUMBAI: Dot & Key is putting a new face at the top of its business as the skincare brand appoints Siddharth Vaya as senior vice president and business head.

Vaya will lead the business with a focus on strengthening Dot & Key’s position in skincare, expanding its omnichannel presence and driving sustainable and profitable growth.

He joins from Beardo, where he served as chief business officer and was involved in scaling the business profitably. Vaya brings close to two decades of experience across FMCG and personal care, spanning D2C brands, multinational companies and large Indian conglomerates.

Before Beardo, Vaya held leadership roles at Marico, where he served as category head for the Saffola Oils portfolio and also led the male grooming category.

Earlier, he spent more than six years at NIVEA India, leading the body lotions category and the NIVEA Men portfolio. He began his career at Reckitt Benckiser, where he spent nearly five years across sales roles.

Dot & Key co-founder and CEO Suyash Saraf said Vaya’s experience across sales, marketing and business, along with his understanding of Indian consumers, would strengthen the company’s leadership team as it enters its next growth phase.

The appointment comes as Dot & Key looks to build on a sharp increase in scale. The brand recently crossed Rs 1,300 crore in net sales value (NSV), representing 13-fold growth over three years.

Vaya’s mandate will include taking that momentum further as the company seeks to strengthen its position across the Indian skincare market.

Founded in 2018 by Anisha Agarwal Saraf and Suyash Saraf, Dot & Key is headquartered in Kolkata and operates across categories including sunscreens, moisturisers, facewash and lip balms. Its portfolio includes the Vitamin C and Blueberry Barrier Repair ranges.

The brand develops its products in-house through its R&D laboratory and has a presence across online and offline channels. It is backed by beauty and wellness platform Nykaa.

With Vaya taking charge of the business, Dot & Key is betting on experienced FMCG leadership to turn its recent scale-up into sustained growth in an increasingly crowded skincare market.
