District by Zomato partners PadelPark to simplify court bookings
Integration brings bookings for 11 premium padel facilities onto one platform.
MUMBAI: Game, set, match and now just a few taps away. As padel races from niche pastime to urban fitness phenomenon, District by Zomato is looking to make getting on court as easy as ordering dinner. The going-out platform has partnered with PadelPark India to bring all PadelPark court bookings onto the District app, streamlining access to one of the country’s fastest-growing sports.
The collaboration integrates bookings for 11 premium 7Padel facilities across key cities including Mumbai, Bengaluru and Pune, allowing users to discover venues, check availability and reserve courts through a single platform.
The move comes amid a surge in interest in padel, a sport that blends elements of tennis and squash and has rapidly gained popularity among urban consumers seeking social, community-driven fitness experiences. As participation grows, so too has demand for accessible, high-quality infrastructure and frictionless booking systems.
By bringing PadelPark’s network onto District, both companies are betting on convenience as a catalyst for adoption. The integration aims to remove barriers that often accompany recreational sports, making it easier for newcomers and regular players alike to find and book courts.
“Padel is witnessing a strong cultural shift, with more people seeking social, immersive and active experiences,” said Jigar Doshi, Co-Founder of PadelPark India. He noted that the partnership offers an opportunity to introduce the sport to a broader audience while strengthening its growing community.
For District, the deal reflects a broader ambition to expand beyond dining and entertainment into experiential lifestyle categories. As consumers increasingly look for activities that combine fitness, recreation and social interaction, sports such as padel are emerging as attractive additions to the platform’s ecosystem.
The partnership also highlights the sport’s growing commercial appeal. Once considered a niche pursuit, padel is steadily building momentum across India’s metropolitan centres, driven by new facilities, organised communities and rising awareness.
With court bookings now available through District, the companies are hoping more users will swap screen time for court time. As India’s appetite for active leisure continues to grow, padel may be finding its next growth spurt not on the court, but through the convenience of a smartphone app.
