MUMBAI: Creator18 is turning up the volume on its creator ambitions, appointing media and creator-business veteran Heena Lulla as its new business head as it looks to strengthen its presence in India’s expanding creator economy.

Lulla brings more than two decades of experience spanning sales, marketing, digital, content and intellectual properties across India and Southeast Asia. Her career includes leadership roles at ZEE Entertainment, where she served as vice president, and Radio City, where she was associate vice president for digital and new media.

She also co-founded VIParents, a parent-influencer platform, and has worked with brands, creators and digital platforms to build and scale creator-led businesses.

The appointment comes as Creator18 seeks to build a larger ecosystem connecting creators, brands and technology. The business, which operates under the Network18 umbrella, aims to help creators strengthen their positioning, expand their audiences and build longer-term commercial relevance.

Welcoming Lulla to the leadership team, Creator18 CEO Anurag Iyer said her experience across markets would add depth to the company’s next phase of growth.

“India is at a defining moment for how creators build businesses, and having the right leadership matters more than ever,” Creator18 CEO Anurag Iyer said. “Heena brings deep expertise, sharp commercial instinct, and a rare understanding of how brands, creators, and platforms can come together to create real value.”

Iyer added that Lulla’s experience across India and Southeast Asia would bring a perspective that could help Creator18 develop its creator ecosystem as the sector continues to evolve.

For Lulla, the new role brings together several strands of her career, particularly the growing intersection of brands, creators and audiences.

“Creating meaningful partnerships between brands, creators, and audiences at scale is something I’ve worked toward my whole career,” Creator18 business head Heena Lulla said. “I look forward to bringing that experience to life at Creator18 and helping it become a true leader in this space.”

Creator18 positions itself as a platform for distinctive Indian creators, offering infrastructure and strategic support to help them develop their voice, grow their audiences and turn influence into lasting cultural and commercial value.

The business combines Network18’s reach and ability to amplify ideas with Creator18’s new-media expertise, with a focus on helping creators build brands that can grow with them over the long term.

Lulla’s appointment therefore comes at a time when creator businesses are moving beyond audience numbers alone, with partnerships, intellectual property and sustained brand value becoming increasingly important parts of the equation.
